Malibu is the market where the drive is part of the design. Everything arrives along one road, the venues are mostly private property rather than purpose-built event space, and the weather does more to a production here than anywhere else we work.

One road in, and it decides the schedule
Pacific Coast Highway is the only practical route for a truck, and it is the same road every other vendor and every guest is using. We build the call time around that rather than around the distance on a map, which usually means loading out of Tarzana far earlier than the mileage suggests and accepting that a forgotten item is not a quick return trip.
It also changes what we bring. In Encino we can send someone back for a replacement fixture; in Malibu we carry the spare with us. That is a packing decision we make at quoting time, and it is one of the reasons a Malibu quote is not simply a Valley quote with mileage added.
Clifftop and beachfront conditions are a design input
Wind off the water is the constant. It affects what can safely be flown or put on a stand, how a structure needs to be weighted, and whether a plan that works on paper is sensible on an exposed bluff. Marine air and salt are hard on equipment and on cable runs, and the temperature drop after sunset is sharper than inland clients expect.
Our LED panels are outdoor-rated and we do use the wall outdoors, which makes a large screen genuinely possible at an estate here. We will not promise rain or all-weather operation, and the final call on any outdoor structure is made with the venue on the day, against the conditions actually present.
Estate power is the question that moves the budget
Most Malibu venues we work in are private homes. A house electrical panel was not designed for a lighting rig, a DJ system and catering all at once, and whether you need a generator is the single line that moves a Malibu budget most. We walk the property or review photographs and panel details before quoting anything substantial, and we tell you which it is rather than discovering it at load-in.

Getting there
Delivery, setup and crew
Malibu is inside our Los Angeles County coverage. The drive is long enough that crew time is planned around PCH rather than around distance, and travel and crew hours are quoted per event.
Warehouse and showroom in Tarzana available by appointment only. Every booking includes delivery, setup, on-site operation and breakdown by our own crew unless you have specifically arranged otherwise.

Do you serve events in Malibu?
Yes. Malibu is named in our service coverage. Our crew and equipment load out from our Tarzana warehouse.
What do you charge to travel to Malibu?
Travel, crew time and any lodging are scoped per event in the proposal rather than published as a rate, because they depend on the venue, the date and how much equipment the design needs. We would rather quote it accurately than average it.
Do you bring your own equipment or sub-rent locally?
Our own. The sound, lighting and LED inventory arrives on our truck and is operated by the crew that programmed it. Nothing is sub-rented into the market.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our venue?
Yes. We are fully insured and can provide a certificate of insurance to any venue on request. Where a property has its own documentation requirements, we confirm those directly with them for your date.
Which services can you provide for a Malibu event?
DJ and MC, sound, intelligent lighting, LED video walls, staging and special effects, live musicians, and AV equipment rental — as a full production from one team or as individual elements.
