What we light

Every lighting plan is customized to the venue, room size, and event design. Depending on the event, we provide moving-head lighting, beam fixtures, wireless uplighting, pin spotting, pixel-bar and effect lighting, strobes, haze, chuppah lighting, dance-floor lighting, stage lighting, and room and architectural uplighting — with lighting programming and show control handled in-house.

Our lighting inventory

We own and program our lighting rather than subcontracting it, and we build each rig to suit the venue and production. Our current inventory includes 16 ACUE Halo fixtures, 380W beam fixtures, roughly 100 wireless uplights, ACUE 12V FX fixtures, LED pixel bars, lasers, cold spark machines, and hazers — controlled on grandMA3 onPC with APC40 MKII hardware. Not every fixture is used at every event; the system is scaled to the room, event design, and production requirements.

Why our lighting looks intentional

Lighting should feel designed for the room, not dropped into it. Here is how we approach it.

Planned before the event

We review the venue, room size, and event design first, then build and program the looks and cues ahead of time so nothing is improvised on arrival.

Owned and operated in-house

The fixtures are ours and the show is run by our own team on grandMA3, so the design, timing, and transitions stay under one roof.

Coordinated with the whole show

Lighting is planned alongside your sound, LED walls, DJ/MC, and effects as one integrated production instead of separate vendors.

From design to strike: how event lighting comes together

Design first. Every lighting plan starts with your venue — the room's architecture, ceiling height, dance-floor position, and the moments that matter (entrance, first dance, hora, presentations). We design the look and pre-program the cues on grandMA3 before the event, so the transitions are built, not improvised.

Setup and operation. Our crew delivers and sets the fixtures — wireless, battery-powered uplights around the perimeter, moving-head and beam fixtures, pixel bars, pin spots aimed on-site once tables are dressed, and haze where the venue permits — then focuses and tests before guests arrive. A technician runs the show live from grandMA3 through the event.

Indoor, outdoor, and venue rules. Battery uplights need no outlets, which makes lawns, courtyards, and tents straightforward; power and weather protection for moving heads and effects are planned with the venue. Haze, rigging, and load-in windows vary by property — we confirm all of it in advance so nothing is discovered on the day.

Strike. Fixtures come down cleanly on the venue's schedule. When lighting is part of a fuller show with an LED wall or sound, one crew handles a single load-in and load-out.

Event Lighting Rental in Los Angeles

Whether you call it event lighting rental, lighting rental or stage lighting, the equipment is only half of what makes a room look right — the other half is the design and the programming behind it. Corporate event lighting has to keep faces lit for presentation and camera while still shaping the space. Wedding event lighting usually moves through several looks in one night, from ceremony to dinner to dance floor. Event uplighting is the most requested single element and the fastest way to change how a room reads, but it works best as part of a plan rather than on its own.

Outdoor Event Lighting

Outdoors there is no ceiling to bounce light from and no walls to wash, so a plan that works in a ballroom simply disappears. Light has to be brought into the space rather than pointed at it — overhead string lighting to create a ceiling, uplighting on structures, trees or hedging to give the space edges, and enough considered light on paths and steps that guests can move safely without the whole area feeling floodlit. Power and cable routing matter far more than they do indoors. Backyards, gardens, courtyards, rooftops and tented receptions each get planned against the site.

Kinetic and Moving Light Effects

Kinetic effects — lights that move, tilt or change position through the night rather than staying static — are what make a room feel like it is building rather than simply lit. Moving heads and beams are programmed to change with the programme: settled and warm through dinner, then opening up as the floor fills. Because it is all programmed in-house on grandMA3, the cues are built for your room and your timeline instead of being run from a generic show file. Effects like this are worth planning early, since they depend on rigging positions and sightlines that are hard to add late.

Frequently Asked Questions

Event lighting questions we hear most

Answers to help you plan your lighting with confidence.

What kinds of event lighting do you provide?

We provide moving-head and beam fixtures, wireless uplighting, pin spotting, pixel and effect lighting, strobes, haze, chuppah lighting, dance-floor lighting, stage lighting, and room and architectural uplighting. Every plan is customized to the venue and event design.

Do you design the lighting for our specific venue?

Yes. We plan the lighting around your room size, layout, event design, and production requirements — no two rooms get the same setup.

Do you program and operate the lighting yourselves?

Yes. Our lighting is programmed and run in-house on grandMA3 control, so the looks and cues are prepared ahead of time and operated by our own team during the event.

Can lighting be combined with sound, LED walls, and a DJ?

Yes. We coordinate sound, lighting, LED video, DJ/MC, staging, and effects as one production team, so you are not managing separate vendors.

Can I rent lighting without booking a DJ?

Yes. Event lighting is available on its own — uplighting, dance-floor and moving-head lighting, pin spots, and stage lighting, delivered, programmed on grandMA3, and run by our own technician — for planners and clients who already have their entertainment covered. Many also pair it with our DJ, sound, or LED wall as one show.

Do you light outdoor and tented events?

Yes. Our wireless, battery-powered uplights need no outlets, which makes lawns, courtyards, and tents straightforward, and we plan power and weather protection for moving-head and effect fixtures with the venue in advance.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Tarzana and serve Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, and the greater Los Angeles area.
