AV Equipment Rental in Los Angeles
Sound, wireless microphones, event lighting, LED walls, projection, DJ equipment and effects — a complete audio visual rental, owned in-house, delivered and set up, with technicians available to run your event.
Next Level Events provides audio visual equipment rental across Los Angeles — audio, lighting, video and staging from one owned inventory. We are the production side of DJ Next Level Entertainment, which has produced events in Los Angeles since 2009 — the same crew, the same inventory, and the same people who program a wedding on grandMA3 will set up the sound system for a Monday morning meeting.
Because we own our inventory rather than sub-renting it, we can tell you on the first call whether the gear is free on your date and whether it is genuinely the right choice for your room. Where a smaller package would do the job, we will say so.
Warehouse and showroom in Tarzana available by appointment only. We serve Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, the San Fernando Valley — Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills and Calabasas — along with Westlake Village, Orange County and Ventura County, and we travel for destination events.

Event infrastructure
Power, restrooms and heating
Outdoor events, private estates and anywhere without usable back-of-house need more than AV, and it is usually the part that gets remembered late. These come through our production partner rather than our own inventory, and we quote and schedule them alongside the rest of the production so it stays one conversation and one delivery window.
Generators & event power
Supplemental power where a venue cannot carry the load, or where there is no supply at all. Sizing follows the actual draw of the lighting, sound and LED being installed, which is why it is scoped with the AV rather than ordered separately. Distribution from the source to each position is handled in-house.
Restroom trailers
For private estates, ranches, backyards and any site where the venue’s own facilities will not carry the guest count. Requirements vary by site and by event length, so specification, servicing and placement are confirmed with the partner against your venue before anything is quoted.
Patio heaters
Outdoor ceremonies, terraces and cocktail hours run late into a Los Angeles evening, and guests leave a cold space long before the night is meant to end. Coverage is planned around where people will actually stand rather than spaced evenly across a footprint.
What we rent
Audio visual equipment categories
Each category has a dedicated page with the detail, specifications and questions specific to it.
Sound and microphones
PA systems sized to the room rather than to a package tier, plus mixing consoles, monitors and wireless microphones with frequency coordination so speeches do not drop out. Engineers available for programs where audio cannot fail.
Event lighting
Intelligent lighting, uplighting, pin spots and dance floor fixtures — all owned in-house and programmed on grandMA3 rather than run on a factory preset. This is the category that changes how a room photographs.
LED walls and projection
Modular LED video walls for content, backdrops and live camera feeds, and projector-and-screen packages where projection is the better fit. We will tell you which of the two your room actually calls for.
DJ equipment and effects
Pioneer DJ players, mixers, booth monitors and facades, with or without one of our DJs. Cold sparks, CO₂, haze and lasers for the moments that are meant to land.
Delivery, Setup & Operation
How an equipment rental actually runs
What a full-service booking covers, from the first call to pack-out.
- 01
Tell us the room, not the gear list
Venue, date, guest count and what has to happen. We size the package from the actual space — a list of model numbers is the output of that conversation, not the input.
- 02
A written quote you can compare
Itemised, so you can see what each element costs and remove anything you do not need. No rate card, because a rate card cannot know your room.
- 03
Venue coordination
We handle load-in windows, power requirements, rigging points, and any certificate of insurance the building needs, directly with the venue.
- 04
Setup and testing
Rigged, focused, patched and tested against your actual programme and files — not a generic test tone — well before doors open.
- 05
Crew through the event
Engineers, lighting operators and video techs stay for the programme where it matters. Optional, and genuinely unnecessary on simpler setups.
- 06
Strike and pack-out
We break down and clear within the venue's window, so nobody on your team ends the night managing equipment.

I hired Aryan for our engagement party and our wedding in Los Angeles for both music and event lighting. It was one of the best decisions I made. All of our guests danced and sang until 2AM. Aryan made sure there was music for all ages and everyone had a great time.
Booked together
Most rentals combine. Projection is usually booked with sound and microphones and an on-site technician. An LED wall is normally paired with staging, lighting and a video operator. A wedding DJ booking tends to bring MC work, sound, wedding lighting, live musicians and effects with it. And corporate AV generally means projection, microphones, sound and a technician who stays. If the event is in a hotel ballroom, we can be hired as the outside production company where the venue permits it. Surfaces that need to transform rather than display are covered under projection mapping. See full event production for everything managed as one scope, or read our Google reviews. Decking, risers, trussing and drape are covered under staging and scenic design. If you would rather hand the whole technical scope to one vendor than assemble a rental list, start with our audio visual company page.
Frequently Asked Questions
AV equipment rental questions
What clients ask us most before booking a rental.
What AV equipment can I rent in Los Angeles from Next Level Events?
Sound systems and mixing consoles, wireless handheld, lavalier and headset microphones, DJ equipment, intelligent and architectural event lighting, uplighting, pin spots, LED video walls, projectors and projection screens, staging and power distribution, and special effects including cold sparks, CO₂ and haze. Cold spark effects are available subject to venue approval, applicable fire-safety requirements, and site conditions. We own the inventory rather than sub-renting it, which is why we can commit to what is actually available on your date.
Can Next Level Events act as the audio visual rental company for an entire event?
Yes. Sound, lighting, video, staging and power come from one inventory we own, so a single team quotes the package, coordinates load-in windows and power requirements with the venue, sets up and tests before doors open, and stays through the programme when the event calls for it. You are not coordinating separate audio, lighting and video vendors against each other.
Who is AV equipment rental for?
Wedding and event planners, corporate and marketing teams, hotels and venues, houses of worship, schools and nonprofits, production companies, and private hosts. Some clients want equipment delivered and set up, others want a full crew to run the event. Both are normal bookings.
What types of events do you supply?
Weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate meetings, conferences and product launches, galas and fundraisers, hotel and ballroom programs, memorial services and celebrations of life, private estate parties, school and community events, and brand activations.
Do you deliver and set up the equipment?
Yes. Delivery, load-in, setup, testing, breakdown and pack-out are available and are what most clients book. Our crew coordinates access, power, timing and any certificate of insurance the venue requires before arrival. Client pick-up is possible for smaller items — ask when you request a quote.
Are technicians or operators available during the event?
Yes. Audio engineers, lighting operators, video technicians and DJs can stay through your program. For a straightforward setup an operator is often unnecessary, and we will say so rather than add a line to a quote you do not need.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Los Angeles, CA and the surrounding communities — including Beverly Hills, the San Fernando Valley, Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Calabasas and Westlake Village — plus Orange County and Ventura County. We also travel for destination events. Warehouse and showroom in Tarzana available by appointment only.
What affects the price of an AV equipment rental?
The size of the room and the guest count, which set how much sound and lighting the space actually needs; how many fixtures or LED panels are involved; whether you need delivery and setup or crew for the full event; the length of the event; venue access, load-in conditions and power; and the date itself, since peak season books earlier. We quote per event rather than publishing a rate card, because a quote built on a real room is the only one that holds.
Can I rent equipment without hiring a DJ?
Yes. Equipment rental and DJ services are booked separately or together. Plenty of clients rent lighting or an LED wall for an event that has no DJ at all, and plenty book the DJ and production as one package. Neither requires the other.
Can you work at my hotel or venue?
Usually, when the venue permits an outside AV provider. Many hotels offer in-house audiovisual services and some contracts restrict outside vendors. Check your banquet event order or ask your catering contact, then tell us the venue and we will coordinate load-in, power, access and strike directly with their team.
How do I request a quote?
Send the date, venue and roughly what you are trying to achieve through the form on this page, or call 818-916-4058. You will get a specific recommendation and a written quote rather than a rate card, and we will tell you where you can spend less.
Request an equipment rental quote
Tell us the venue, date and what you are trying to achieve, and we will recommend a package and send an itemised quote.
