Custom mashups, built from your songs.
Three to eight tracks, arranged in the order you want, with the transitions built so the whole thing plays as one piece.
A mashup is a piece of production rather than an edit. Several songs are cut, arranged and joined so the result has its own shape — builds, drops, a beginning and an ending — rather than sounding like a playlist.
It is what sits behind almost every surprise wedding dance you have seen: a slow opening that becomes something else entirely, then something else again, with each change timed to land.
What it covers
What we can do with it
Surprise wedding dances
The classic structure — start on the expected romantic song, then break into two or three unexpected tracks. Every change is a moment, and the timing of each one is the whole trick.
Bridal party and groomsmen entrances
A sequence built so each group gets its own section, with the changes landing as people come through the door.
Choreographed routines
Send the counts and section lengths from your choreographer and we build the music to the routine rather than the other way round.
Reception medleys
A run of songs arranged to move the energy of a room deliberately over several minutes.
How it works
Sending us your music
Fill in the form below with the song and what you want done to it. As soon as you submit you get a project number.
Then get us the audio, whichever way is easier: paste a link in the form, or email your files to djnextlevelent@gmail.com with your project number in the subject line. Anything large — an uncompressed file, or a long recording — should go by link rather than email, since most mail providers reject big attachments.
We come back with a quote and a payment link. Usually 5–7 business days, depending on the number of songs. Nothing is charged until you approve the quote.
FAQ
Custom Mashup & Medley questions
How many songs can I include?
Up to four songs at this price. Fewer than two is usually a transition rather than a mashup. A choreography mix built to a rehearsed routine starts at $450, because the music is built to counts rather than to feel. More than four songs, or a mashup past about five minutes, is quoted individually.
How long should a surprise dance mashup be?
Between two and four minutes for most weddings. The structure matters more than the length — three distinct sections with clear changes holds a room better than five minutes of continuous music, because each change resets everyone's attention.
Do I need to specify exact timestamps for every song?
It helps but it is not required. Many people send the songs in order with a note like “just the chorus from this one” and let us choose the sections. If you are dancing to choreography, exact timings become important.
Can you match the songs to our choreography?
Yes, and this is the case where the counts really matter. Send the section lengths your choreographer is working to, and we will build each section to those lengths rather than handing you music you have to adapt to.
Can you make the edit clean?
Yes — tell us and we will use clean versions or edit around explicit language. Worth flagging early if the event has children present or the venue requires it.
How do I get my songs to you?
Two ways, and you can use either. Paste a link in the form — Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or OneDrive all work — or submit the form first and email your files to djnextlevelent@gmail.com with your project number in the subject line. Large files, and anything uncompressed like a WAV, should go by link rather than email, since most inboxes reject attachments over about 25MB.
What if it is not quite right?
Tell us what to change and we will change it. The most useful feedback is timestamped — “at 1:14 let the chorus run another eight seconds” is immediately actionable in a way that “the middle feels off” is not. Revisions are part of the process; a project that needs a fundamental change of direction is quoted separately.
