Audio that belongs to the property

A permanent home audio system should disappear into the architecture and simply be there — music on the patio, the pool deck, the rooftop, and inside, at the level each space wants, without speakers hauled out and cables run across the yard. We design and install permanent outdoor and whole-property audio for Los Angeles homes and estates, and we handle the design, equipment, installation, configuration, and tuning ourselves. Where specialized electrical, networking, construction, engineering, or permitting work is required, projects can be coordinated with the appropriate licensed trades when required.

What a residential system includes

Specified, installed, and tuned to the property

Every element is selected for the space it serves — indoors, under cover, and fully exposed outdoors.

Speakers & Coverage

Outdoor speakers, subwoofers, and zones

Professional weather-resistant outdoor speakers, outdoor subwoofers, and indoor speakers placed for even coverage — with multi-zone control so the patio, pool, backyard, rooftop, and interior each run at their own level and, where designed for it, their own source.

Processing & Sources

Mixing, DSP, streaming, and live inputs

Professional mixers and DSP for tuning, level control, and system protection; Bluetooth and wireless streaming for everyday use; wireless microphones for toasts and hosted moments; and dedicated DJ and live-musician connections so a performer can plug straight into the house system.

Install & Finish

Concealed wiring, mounting, and racks

Concealed and professionally routed wiring, wall, pole, eave, and architectural mounting aimed for coverage rather than convenience, and a properly built and terminated equipment rack — so the system looks intentional and stays serviceable years later.

The backyard that turns into a venue

Most home audio is specified for background music and quietly gives up the moment a real party starts. Ours is specified the other way around.

DJ Next Level Entertainment comes from professional event production — we have designed and run sound for weddings, private estate events, large parties, DJs, and live performers across Los Angeles since 2009. That is what lets a residential system be built with genuine headroom: full-range outdoor speakers with outdoor subwoofers, professional processing and limiting, and DJ and live inputs already waiting in the wall.

The result is a luxury club-inspired outdoor audio system: a Vegas-style backyard sound experience when you are entertaining, and a calm, even background system every other day of the year. What that takes on your property — how many speakers, how much low end, which zones — comes out of the design, not a brochure.

What these systems get used for

Pool sound systems, backyard sound systems, and full estate audio systems are the same discipline at different scales — permanent outdoor speakers where you entertain, whole-home audio where you live, and one installation doing very different jobs on different nights.

Large backyard parties

Full-output music with outdoor subwoofers across the yard, plus a DJ connection point so a performer plugs into the house system instead of building a temporary rig.

Pool & outdoor lounging

Even coverage across the pool deck and cabana at levels that carry over water and conversation without a single loud speaker ruining the seating nearest it.

Estate events at home

Ceremonies, milestone parties, and hosted evenings — with wireless microphones for speeches and toasts, and separate zones so the bar, dining, and dance areas each sit right.

Outdoor dining & everyday listening

Background music across the patio, outdoor kitchen, and lounge at conversation level, controlled from your phone, with the rest of the property quiet or on its own source.

Live musicians & performers

Protected live inputs for a duo, a band, or a soloist, so acoustic dinner sets and full performances both run through a system already tuned to the space.

Multiple entertainment zones

Independent control across patio, pool, rooftop, courtyard, guest house, gym, and interior — one property running several moods at once.

Permanent system or event rental?

They are not the same purchase, and a permanent system does not always replace event production. A permanent installation earns its place when you host regularly and want the property ready every day — music on the patio without setup, a DJ point already wired, and zones you control from your phone. A large or one-off event may still call for additional production brought in for the night: more output for a big guest count, a full DJ and MC setup, staging, or lighting. Many clients do both — a permanent system for daily life and most gatherings, with event sound and full event production layered on for the night that warrants it. If you are not sure which you need, we will tell you honestly after the walkthrough.

How a system comes together

Design and installation process

From the first conversation to a tuned system you know how to run. Completed systems can include clear labeling and system documentation, so future servicing or expansion does not start from scratch.

    Consultation

We talk through how you live in the property and how you entertain — daily listening, dinners, and the nights that matter.

  2. 02

    Property walkthrough

We walk every space you want covered, note distances, surfaces, sight lines, power, and access, and flag anything that affects wiring.

  3. 03

    System design

We plan coverage, speaker and subwoofer placement, zones, and where DJ, microphone, and streaming sources connect.

  4. 04

    Equipment selection

We specify equipment from professional-grade manufacturers to match the design and the exposure each location sees.

  5. 05

    Wiring & mounting plan

We map concealed cable routes, mounting points, and rack location — and identify where licensed trades should be coordinated.

  6. 06

    Installation

We route and conceal wiring, mount and aim speakers, and build and terminate the equipment rack.

  7. 07

    Tuning & testing

We configure processing, set zone levels and limits, tune on the property, and test every source at real volumes.

  8. 08

    Client walkthrough

We hand the system over in person — everyday listening through full party mode, plus how to connect a DJ or a microphone.

Custom quoted, not packaged

Systems are quoted after a walkthrough, because the number is set by the property — its size and layout, coverage, zones, wiring, mounting, and the equipment specified. You get it in writing, itemized enough to see what each part of the system is doing.

After installation, we can remain available for system adjustments, troubleshooting, retuning, and future expansion as your property or entertainment needs change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Permanent home audio questions

What homeowners ask before installing a permanent outdoor or whole-property system.

Can outdoor speakers stay outside year-round?

Yes — when the system is specified for it. We use speakers, subwoofers, and mounting hardware rated for outdoor exposure, and we select models based on how exposed each location is: a covered patio, an open pool deck, and a coastal rooftop are three different environments. Wiring, connections, and any outdoor-mounted electronics are installed and protected accordingly.

Can one system handle both background music and a large party?

That is the point of designing it this way. We size and configure the system so it sits comfortably at conversation level for everyday listening, then still has real output and low-end in reserve when you are entertaining — rather than a small system pushed past its limits on the one night you need it most. Processing and limiting protect the equipment at either extreme.

Can a DJ connect directly to the permanent system?

Yes. We can build in dedicated, protected DJ and live-input connections at the locations that make sense for your property, so a DJ or band plugs into the house system instead of trucking in a full rig. Levels stay under system protection, so a guest vendor cannot damage the installation.

Can you install wireless microphones?

Yes. Wireless microphone capability can be built into the system for toasts, ceremonies, speeches, and hosted events at home. We plan frequency coordination and antenna placement around the property so coverage is reliable where you actually use it.

Can different areas of the property have separate volume controls?

Yes — that is multi-zone audio. Each area can be its own zone: living areas, patio, pool deck, backyard, rooftop, courtyard, guest house, gym. Zones can run at independent levels, and depending on the design, different sources at the same time — quiet music inside while the pool deck runs the party.

Do you install outdoor subwoofers?

Yes. Outdoor subwoofers are what separate a system that plays music outside from one that actually feels like an event. They can be surface-mounted, placed in landscaping, or built into the architecture depending on the property, and are specified for outdoor use.

How much does a permanent outdoor sound system cost?

Every system is custom quoted. Cost depends on property size and layout, how many speakers and subwoofers the coverage requires, the number of zones, wiring runs and how concealed they need to be, mounting and any architectural integration, the equipment selected, and installation complexity — including how much of the property is already finished. We scope the system to your property and quote it in writing rather than publishing a range that would not mean anything for your home.

Can you retrofit an existing home?

Yes, and most residential work is retrofit rather than new construction. We plan wiring routes that work with finished walls, hardscape, and landscaping, and we are direct about where a run is straightforward and where it requires more invasive work. Where specialized electrical, networking, construction, engineering, or permitting work is required, projects can be coordinated with the appropriate licensed trades when required.

Do you provide the equipment and the installation?

Both. We design the system, supply the equipment, install and route the wiring, mount and aim the speakers, build and terminate the rack, configure the processing and zones, tune the system on site, and show you how to run it. Equipment is selected from professional-grade manufacturers based on what the installation calls for — we specify to the property rather than to a brand.
