Renting DJ lighting usually means receiving a list of fixtures and discovering on the night that nobody worked out where they go, how they are powered, or whether the beams will be visible at all. We rent complete lighting packages for DJ-driven events — the fixtures, the control, the rigging and the crew to put it up — built around the room rather than pulled off a shelf.
Everything is owned in-house. That matters for a practical reason more than a marketing one: when you ask whether a package is free on your date, the answer is real rather than dependent on a sub-rental that may or may not come through.
What we carry
The inventory behind a package. What actually goes into your quote depends on the venue, the guest count and what the night has to do.
Up to 24 moving-head fixtures — spots, beams and washes — positioned around or above the floor to create movement rather than static pools of colour. This is the category that makes a room feel like a show: beams sweeping across the crowd, hard position changes on a transition, and colour that shifts with the music instead of sitting still.
Roughly 100 wireless uplights available, placed around a room's perimeter and architectural features to set the colour of the space before anyone looks at the dance floor. Battery-powered and cable-free, which matters in venues where running power around the walls is not an option.
Pixel bars add linear movement and colour — chases, sweeps and gradients along a truss, a stage edge or a DJ facade — and give a rig visual structure that point-source fixtures cannot. Strobes are used sparingly and deliberately, as accents on drops and peak moments rather than as a constant effect.
Haze machines put fine atmosphere in the air so beams become visible. Without it, moving heads light surfaces; with it, the room fills with shafts of light. We also carry smoke and fog machines for low-lying and heavier effects. Venue smoke-detection policy governs what can actually be used, so it is worth confirming early.
Truss, ground support and stands to get fixtures to the height they need. Lighting hung above a floor behaves very differently from lighting at head height, and much of what makes a rig look professional is simply that the fixtures are in the right place. Rigging is planned against the venue's points, ceiling height and load rules.
Stage washes give clean, even coverage for performers, speakers and bands so faces are lit properly rather than washed in colour. Lekos and Source Four-style fixtures handle the tighter, shaped work — a defined pool on a podium, a controlled edge on a stage or a specific architectural feature.
Lasers and cold spark effects are available for productions where they fit. Both are governed by venue approval, placement and safety requirements rather than being universally deployable, so they are planned per event rather than dropped into every package.
The upgrade
A standard DJ lighting rental gives you the rig. The EDM light show gives you the rig with a professionally built festival-style show already programmed into it — beams tightening through a build, the room cutting on the drop, movement that follows the set instead of running underneath it.
It is the same inventory, used differently. If the lighting is meant to be part of the performance rather than illumination around it, that is the package to ask about.

We deliver and set up across Los Angeles and the surrounding region, and travel for events further out including festival-weekend productions in the Palm Springs and Indio area. Venue coordination — load-in windows, power, rigging points, certificates of insurance — is handled directly with the building.

It depends on the room and what you want the lighting to do, not on guest count alone. A typical private party dance floor reads well with a handful of moving heads positioned around it; a large ballroom or a stage-forward DJ setup uses considerably more because the beams have to cover distance and still look deliberate. We own up to 24 moving-head fixtures, so the honest answer is that we size it to the space after seeing the venue rather than selling a fixed count.
Yes — that is the normal booking. Rather than renting individual fixtures and working out how they connect, you get a package built around your room: fixtures, control, cabling, power distribution and the rigging or stands needed to put the light where it belongs, delivered and set up by our crew.
If you want to see beams in the air, yes. A moving head without atmosphere lights the floor and the people, but the beam itself is invisible — the shaft of light you picture from a concert only exists because there is haze for it to travel through. Some venues restrict haze because of smoke detection, which is worth confirming early since it changes what the rig will look like.
Yes, and they do different jobs. Uplighting colours the walls and architecture and sets the tone of the room; DJ lighting works the dance floor. Most events that want the room to feel finished use both. We carry roughly 100 uplights, so covering a large ballroom perimeter alongside a full dance-floor rig is a normal request.
Where the venue allows it, yes. Cold spark machines create a controlled fountain effect for entrances, first dances and DJ drops. Use depends on the venue's requirements, local rules, fire-safety conditions and placement, so it has to be confirmed for your specific event rather than assumed.
Yes. The EDM light show is the upgrade on top of a standard DJ lighting rental: the same class of rig, but with a professionally built festival-style show already programmed into the system rather than fixtures running generic looks.
