A custom mix is not a playlist. Songs are ordered so the energy goes somewhere, keys and tempos are considered so the joins work, and each transition is mixed rather than faded — which is the difference between music that carries a room and music that keeps stopping and starting.

It suits events where a live DJ is not practical or not wanted: a small reception, a milestone birthday, a studio class, a shop or restaurant, a party where somebody just needs to press play and get on with hosting.

What it covers

What we can do with it

Small weddings and receptions

A properly sequenced hour that moves from dinner into dancing, so nobody is managing a phone all evening.

Parties and milestone birthdays

A set built around the songs that actually mean something to the people in the room, mixed so it plays continuously.

Studios, gyms and classes

A fixed-length set at a consistent energy, with clean versions where the room requires them.

Businesses and venues

Background music with a deliberate character and no gaps, rather than a streaming playlist with ads and repeats.

How it works

Sending us your music

Fill in the form below with the song and what you want done to it. As soon as you submit you get a project number.

Then get us the audio, whichever way is easier: paste a link in the form, or email your files to djnextlevelent@gmail.com with your project number in the subject line. Anything large — an uncompressed file, or a long recording — should go by link rather than email, since most mail providers reject big attachments.

We come back with a quote and a payment link. Usually 5–10 business days depending on length. Nothing is charged until you approve the quote.

FAQ

Custom DJ Mix questions

How much does a custom DJ mix cost?

A 30-minute mix starts at $395 and a 60-minute mix starts at $695. Longer sets, unusually large song counts and heavily specified sequencing are quoted individually — the work scales with the number of transitions rather than the runtime.

How many songs go into a mix?

Roughly eight to twelve songs in 30 minutes and eighteen to twenty-five in an hour, depending on how much of each track is used. You do not have to fill the list — send the must-plays and let us select around them if you would rather.

Can I specify songs I do not want?

Yes, and it is worth doing. A do-not-play list is often more useful than a must-play list, particularly for weddings and family events where one specific track needs to stay out of the room.

Can you make it clean?

Yes. Tell us in the form and we will use clean versions throughout. Necessary for schools, studios and many corporate settings.

What format do I get?

A single continuous MP3 by default. Ask for WAV, or for the mix split into tracks, in your notes.

How do I get my songs to you?

Two ways, and you can use either. Paste a link in the form — Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or OneDrive all work — or submit the form first and email your files to djnextlevelent@gmail.com with your project number in the subject line. Large files, and anything uncompressed like a WAV, should go by link rather than email, since most inboxes reject attachments over about 25MB.

What if it is not quite right?

Tell us what to change and we will change it. The most useful feedback is timestamped — “at 1:14 let the chorus run another eight seconds” is immediately actionable in a way that “the middle feels off” is not. Revisions are part of the process; a project that needs a fundamental change of direction is quoted separately.
