Projector and Projection Screen Rental in Los Angeles
Projector and screen rental for hotels, memorials, corporate meetings, weddings, schools and private events — delivered, set up, tested, and operated on site when you need it.
A projector is the piece of event equipment most likely to cause a problem in front of an audience. It is too dim for the room, the laptop will not connect, the image is skewed across a doorway, or nobody focused it. Almost all of that is preventable, and preventing it is most of what you are actually renting.
We provide event projector rental and projection screen rental across Los Angeles for corporate presentations, hotel meetings, memorial services, weddings, school programs, nonprofit events and private celebrations. Equipment is chosen after we understand the room — how bright it is, how far back the last row sits, and what will be on screen — rather than picked from a fixed package.
We have produced events in Los Angeles since 2009. The same crew that runs sound and lighting for a full production sets up the projector and screen for a Monday morning meeting.

Front projection, rear projection, or short throw
This is the decision that changes your room layout, so it is worth settling early. If you are not sure, describe the space and we will recommend one.
Front projection
The simplest and most economical setup, and the right answer in most rooms. The trade-off is that the projector needs a clear path to the screen, and a presenter who walks in front of it will cast a shadow.
Rear projection
The projector sits behind the screen, so presenters can stand anywhere without shadowing the image and no cabling crosses the audience. It needs usable depth behind the screen, which not every room has.
Short throw
Useful where the room is shallow, the projector would otherwise sit in a walkway, or the throw distance simply is not there. Short-throw projector rental solves a space problem rather than an image-quality one.
Delivery, Setup & Operation
How a projector rental with setup actually runs
More than dropping equipment at a loading dock. This is what a full-service booking covers.
- 01
We size it to the room
Screen size is set by the distance to your furthest viewer; projector brightness is set by how much ambient light the room has. Send the venue and guest count and we will recommend rather than upsell.
- 02
Delivery and load-in
Our crew handles transport and load-in, coordinating with the venue on access, timing and any certificate of insurance the building requires before we arrive.
- 03
Setup and focus
Screen installed, projector placed, aligned and focused, cabling run and covered so it is safe with guests walking near it.
- 04
Testing before guests arrive
We test your actual presentation or video on the actual playback machine. Missing fonts, embedded video that will not play and resolution mismatches surface here, not in front of your audience.
- 05
Operation when requested
An operator can stay through the program to advance slides, cue video and manage microphones. Optional, and genuinely unnecessary for simpler setups.
- 06
Breakdown and removal
We strike, pack out and clear the space within the venue's window, so nobody on your team is left managing equipment at the end of the night.
Where we set up
Events we provide projectors and screens for
Hotel and venue events. Hotel projector rental for meetings, conferences and ballroom programs, available when your venue permits an outside AV provider. Many hotels offer in-house audiovisual services; where outside vendors are allowed, we coordinate load-in, power, access and strike directly with the venue team.
Memorial services and celebrations of life. Memorial service projector rental with quiet setup, slideshow testing well before guests arrive, and an operator to advance slides and manage the microphone. Short lead times are normal here and we plan for them.
Corporate meetings and presentations. Corporate presentation projector rental for board meetings, all-hands, training days, conferences and client presentations — with backup microphones and a technician where the program cannot afford a gap.
Weddings, schools, nonprofits and private events. Photo montages and video tributes at receptions, school assemblies and graduations, fundraiser impact videos, and milestone celebrations at homes and private venues.
Related services
Projection is often booked alongside audio or a brighter display. For clear speech and music in the room, see our event sound system rental. Where a room is too bright for projection, or the screen needs to read as part of the design rather than as a screen, an LED video wall is usually the better answer — and we will tell you when that is the case. You can also explore event lighting and full event production, or contact our team to talk through a date. If your event is at a hotel, we can handle the whole room’s AV. If you want visuals shaped to a surface rather than shown on a screen, that is projection mapping. Browse the rest of our AV equipment rental range, or add staging and drape to raise the screen and hide cable runs. For full-service audiovisual production rather than a single rental, see our audio visual company page.
Projector Rental & Projection Screen Rental in Los Angeles
Most people searching for projector rental in Los Angeles need the whole picture rather than the projector on its own: the right brightness for the room, a projection screen sized to the audience, the stand or rigging that holds it, and the cables and adapters that make a laptop actually display. We quote projector and screen rental together for that reason. An event projector rental for a ballroom presentation is a different specification from a large screen projector rental for an outdoor screening — ambient light, throw distance and audience depth drive the choice far more than the venue’s square footage does.
Frequently Asked Questions
Projector and screen rental questions
The questions clients ask us most before booking.
Do you rent the projector and screen together?
Yes, and it is the most common request. Renting them together means the screen size and the projector are matched to each other and to the room, rather than chosen separately and hoped to work. You can also rent one without the other if you already have part of the setup.
How do I know what size screen I need?
It is driven by the distance from the screen to your furthest viewer, and by what will be on screen. Text-heavy slides need a larger screen than a photo montage does. Tell us the venue, the room dimensions if you have them, and your guest count, and we will recommend a size rather than asking you to guess.
Can you provide a short-throw projector for a small room?
Yes. Short-throw options are useful where there is not enough distance between the projector and the screen, or where a standard placement would put the projector in a walkway or leave presenters casting a shadow. Tell us the room depth and we will tell you whether short-throw is the right approach.
Do you deliver and set up, or is it a pick-up rental?
Delivery, setup, testing and breakdown are available and are what most clients book. We place and focus the projector, install the screen, run and cover the cabling, and test the system against your actual presentation before guests arrive.
Can someone stay and run it during the event?
Yes. An on-site operator can advance slides, cue video and manage microphones through your program. For a straightforward single-presenter meeting this is often unnecessary, and we will say so rather than add it to a quote you do not need.
Can you provide AV for a hotel event?
Yes, when the venue permits an outside AV provider. Many hotels offer in-house audiovisual services, and some contracts restrict outside vendors. Check your banquet event order or ask your catering contact first, then tell us the venue and we will coordinate load-in, power, access and strike directly with them.
Can you help with a memorial service or celebration of life?
Yes. A memorial should not be interrupted by AV problems, and there is no second take. We set up quietly, test your slideshow file on the playback machine well before guests arrive, and can stay to advance slides and manage the microphone during the service. Short-notice requests are normal for these and we plan for them.
Do you provide sound and microphones as well?
Yes, when requested. Small sound systems, mixers and wireless microphones can be added so speech is clear alongside the projection. For larger rooms and full event audio, see our event sound system rental.
Will my laptop connect?
We bring HDMI cabling and common adapters, and we test with your actual machine and file rather than a generic test pattern. If you would rather hand us a file to run, tell us the format in advance so we can confirm it plays correctly.
What areas do you cover?
We serve Los Angeles, CA and the surrounding communities, including the San Fernando Valley. Availability depends on the venue, the date and the equipment required — tell us where and when and we will give you a straight answer.
