What planners, educators and brands ask before booking production.
What production is needed for a live makeup demonstration?
Most live makeup demonstrations need three things: a way for every guest to see the presentation (an LED wall, or a projector and screen in smaller rooms), clear sound (a hands-free microphone for the educator and a handheld for questions), and even, flattering light on the presenter and model. Larger rooms usually add staging and an on-site technician. We recommend the scope after reviewing the venue, audience size and presentation format.
Should we use an LED wall or a projector and screen?
An LED wall stays bright in lit ballrooms and daylight rooms and reads well from the back of a large audience, which suits galas, conferences, activations and large masterclasses. A projector and screen is often the practical choice for smaller masterclasses, meeting rooms, workshops and bridal showers where the room lighting can be controlled. We will recommend one after reviewing the venue.
Can guests see close-up makeup application on the screen?
Only when live camera production is included and confirmed in your written proposal. Without it, the screen shows prepared content such as application steps, product names, instructor branding and before-and-after images. We will tell you during planning whether live camera close-ups can be provided for your date and venue.
Do you provide wireless microphones?
Yes. Wireless handheld microphones are standard, and headset or lavalier microphones keep an educator's hands free during an application. A handheld can be set aside for audience Q&A.
Can you work with a hotel's in-house AV department?
Yes. We coordinate with hotel and venue AV and event teams on power, load-in times, rigging rules and any in-house equipment you have already contracted. Some venues have their own requirements for outside production vendors, so share your venue contract terms early.
Can you display sponsor or fundraiser branding?
Yes. Sponsor logos, fundraiser branding, instructor branding and welcome slides can be shown on the LED wall or screen. Supplied content is tested before guests arrive.
Do you provide an on-site technician?
Yes. An on-site technician can run sound, presentation playback and screen cues through the program. Staffing is set out in your proposal based on the contracted scope.
Can NXL support a Passover program or destination event?
Yes. We produce entertainment and technical production for Passover programs, and we travel for destination and out-of-town programs. Travel is quoted per event.
Can Mahsa teach the beauty masterclass?
Yes, by request. Live beauty masterclasses with Los Angeles makeup artist and educator Mahsa Gerami of Makeup By Mahsa G. can be arranged in English, Farsi or a bilingual format. The teaching is Mahsa's own service; DJ Next Level Entertainment provides the audiovisual production.
Are makeup instruction and production priced separately?
Yes. Makeup instruction and audiovisual production are separate services and may be quoted and contracted separately. Production pricing is custom and depends on the equipment, crew, venue, delivery, setup and travel your event needs.
How early should event planners reserve production?
As soon as the date and venue are set. LED walls, crew and technicians are shared across our event calendar, and weekend and holiday-season dates are reserved first. Smaller projector and sound setups can sometimes be arranged at shorter notice.
