Song edits · Starting at $125

Clean song edits that do not sound censored.

Explicit language removed by muting, reversing, replacing or re-editing around it — so the track still sounds like the track.

The clean version on streaming is often worse than the original problem. Words get bleeped, dropped so the beat stumbles, or replaced with a duplicate that lands in the wrong place. For a school performance or a competition routine, that can be the difference between a mix that works and one that draws attention to itself.

A proper clean edit removes what has to go without leaving a hole where it was. Depending on the word and where it sits, that means muting, reversing, replacing it with something from elsewhere in the track, or re-editing around it entirely.

What it covers

What we can do with it

Schools and youth events

Performances, assemblies and school dances where any explicit content is not an option and an obvious bleep is nearly as bad.

Dance studios and competition routines

Most competitions require clean audio. A crude edit costs marks and distracts from the routine.

Weddings and family events

One or two words in an otherwise perfect song, in a room with grandparents and children in it.

Fitness and public spaces

Studios, gyms and businesses that need the energy of the original track without the language.

How it works

Sending us your music

Fill in the form below with the song and what you want done to it. As soon as you submit you get a project number.

Then get us the audio, whichever way is easier: paste a link in the form, or email your files to djnextlevelent@gmail.com with your project number in the subject line. Anything large — an uncompressed file, or a long recording — should go by link rather than email, since most mail providers reject big attachments.

We come back with a quote and a payment link. Usually 2–4 business days. Nothing is charged until you approve the quote.

FAQ

Clean Song Edit questions

How is a clean edit different from the clean version on streaming?

Official clean versions are made quickly and at scale, and it shows — bleeps, silences and clumsy replacements are common. A custom clean edit is made for your specific use, choosing the least intrusive fix for each instance rather than applying one method throughout.

Do I need to know the timestamps?

No. If you know exactly which words and where, that speeds things up. If you just say “please make this clean” we will go through it and handle everything.

What methods do you use?

Muting the word, reversing it, replacing it with a clean word or phrase from elsewhere in the song, or re-editing the phrase so it is not there at all. Which one is right depends on the word, the rhythm and how exposed the vocal is at that point.

Can you clean a whole mix?

Yes. If you are ordering a custom DJ mix or a mashup, ask for it clean in the form and the whole thing is handled — that is usually cheaper than cleaning each track separately.

How do I get my songs to you?

Two ways, and you can use either. Paste a link in the form — Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or OneDrive all work — or submit the form first and email your files to djnextlevelent@gmail.com with your project number in the subject line. Large files, and anything uncompressed like a WAV, should go by link rather than email, since most inboxes reject attachments over about 25MB.

What if it is not quite right?

Tell us what to change and we will change it. The most useful feedback is timestamped — “at 1:14 let the chorus run another eight seconds” is immediately actionable in a way that “the middle feels off” is not. Revisions are part of the process; a project that needs a fundamental change of direction is quoted separately.

What about copyright?

You need lawful access to any file you send us, and editing a track does not transfer any ownership in the underlying music. Streaming links you share are treated as references so we can identify the song — we do not download from streaming services. Where a recording will be performed publicly or distributed, any licensing that applies remains between you, your venue and the relevant rights holders.
