Venue Experience
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey
The wedding we produced at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey was built around LED — video walls behind the stage, lavender uplighting, and a hanging floral ceiling over a white dance floor. It is a useful example of what an LED-forward reception actually looks like in a hotel ballroom.
What we produced
Our work at this venue
We produced a wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, including LED video walls behind the stage and full reception lighting. The photographs on this page are from that event.
We are not a preferred, approved or exclusive vendor at this property, and nothing on this page states the venue’s own requirements — those are confirmed with the property for your specific date.

LED walls as the room's design, not a screen for slides
Most people picture an LED wall as somewhere to play a montage. Used as a full-stage backdrop it does something else entirely: it sets the colour and mood of the whole room and it changes through the night. On this wedding the walls carried content that matched the floral and lighting design rather than competing with it, which is the difference between a production element and a television at a party.
It also holds up in a lit ballroom, which projection does not. In a room with chandeliers and ambient light, a projected image washes out — that is the practical reason LED has become the default for receptions at this level.
Lighting a hanging floral ceiling
A hanging installation over the dance floor is a lighting opportunity that is easy to waste. Lit from the wrong angle it goes flat or throws shadows onto the floor. On this event the uplighting and the wall colour were chosen to sit with the florals, and the fixtures were positioned to give the installation depth from the guests' eye line rather than from above.
Where a floral installation is involved, we plan our positions with the florist rather than after them — it is a coordination problem more than a technical one.
Working in the room
An LED build of this kind needs real setup time and a clear picture of the room before the day. Access windows, dock and elevator use, ground-support footprint and the hotel's insurance requirement are confirmed with the property for your date. Anything structural or any effect beyond standard sound and lighting is a permission conversation with the hotel, and we open it early.
How the evening moves through the room
A hotel reception is really four rooms wearing the same carpet: a cocktail hour where people are still talking, a seated dinner where the music sits underneath conversation, a set of formal moments that have to be heard cleanly at the back, and a dance floor that has to feel like a different place entirely. The production either follows that arc or fights it.
In practice that means the lighting state changes on purpose rather than sitting at one setting all night, the volume is different in each of those four phases, and the microphone used for speeches and toasts is treated as its own system rather than something handed over at the last minute. Guests never notice the transitions when they are planned. They notice nothing else when they are not.
The music we are usually asked for
Our own work is open-format and multicultural: American Top 40, hip-hop and house alongside Persian, Israeli and Jewish celebration music, plus Armenian, Russian, Greek and Arabic sets when the families call for them. That is a description of what we play, not a claim about this hotel or the events other companies have produced here.
Where two families want two different nights, we plan the running order with you in advance rather than improvising it at the booth. The point is that nobody sits through a long stretch of music that was not meant for them.

Questions
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey questions
Have you worked at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey?
We produced a wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, including LED video walls behind the stage and full reception lighting. The photographs on this page are from that event.
Are you a preferred vendor at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey?
No. We have produced an event there, which is a different thing. We hold no preferred-vendor, approved or exclusive relationship with this or any venue, and we would not claim one.
What does the venue allow for lighting, effects and LED?
That depends on the room, the date and your booking, so we confirm it with the property rather than stating it here. Anything beyond standard sound and lighting — haze, effects, rigging, a large LED structure — is a permission conversation we start early.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance to the venue?
Yes. We are fully insured and provide a certificate of insurance to any venue on request, and we confirm the property's specific documentation requirements for your date.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. Our sound, lighting and LED inventory is owned in-house and operated by our own crew — not sub-rented.
Do you provide the DJ and the LED production together, or just one?
Either. The wedding shown on this page was a full build, DJ and MC plus LED walls, uplighting and reception sound from one crew. We are also booked for production only, alongside a DJ or band you have already chosen.
How much setup time does an LED build in a hotel ballroom need?
More than a DJ setup, and the exact window depends on the ballroom, the size of the structure and what is scheduled in the room before you. We confirm access, dock and elevator use and the load-in window with the hotel for your specific date rather than assuming a standard one.
Can you play Persian, Israeli or other international music at a reception here?
Yes. We are an open-format company: American Top 40, hip-hop and house alongside Persian, Israeli, Jewish, Armenian, Russian, Greek and Arabic music, planned with you before the night rather than taken as requests on the floor.
